Job Description
• Work in multidisciplinary project teams, aimed at realization of a Position Measurement System
• Technical budget analysis & module design
• Evaluate design solutions
• Selection of critical components and technologies
• Interact with module supplier during the complete development process
• Lead engineer for module integration and test
• Troubleshoot of nonperformance situations
• Review and documentation of design, analysis and test results

Education
Technical University masters or Ph.D in
• Mechatronics or System and Control engineering;
• Electrical and Mechanical engineering, also suitable but only with a specialism/focus on mechatronic design.

Experience
• Experience in the field of position measurement, sensor design and/or mechatronics.
• Work experience in multidisciplinary projects involving mechatronics, electronics and software is a pre.

Context of the position
The department Mechatronics Development is responsible for specification, design, integration and qualification of the mechatronics sub-systems and components which are fitted into the end products. The main focus is on nanometer-accuracy positioning of high speed components. Control engineering, dynamics, actuator design, position measurement systems and material handling are part of this department's main competences.
